Campaign Finance Reporting Schedules

Municipal Candidate Committees Reporting Schedule

The following four schedules are for candidates participating in municipal elections. Please refer to the schedule that reflects the type of election conducted for the municipality of the candidate.

• Type 1-Nonpartisan Plurality
• Type 2-Partisan with Primary
• Type 3-Nonpartisan with Primary
• Type 4-Nonpartisan with Runoff

Any municipal candidate with an active committee that did not file under the threshold must file the following reports in addition to any listed under the specific type of election for their municipality:

 

January 30, 2009	2008 Year-End Semi Annual Report
	Required for all registered committees and elected officials not participating in the 2008 elections.  Covers from July 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008.
July 31, 2009	2009 Mid-Year Semi Annual Report
	Required for all registered committess and elected officials. Covers from January 1, 2009 through June 30, 2009.
Type 1-Nonpartisan Plurality
Within 10 days	Organizational Report
September 29, 2009	Thirty-five day Report
	Required from all candidates and elected officials participating in the nonpartisan plurality election. Covers from last report through September 22, 2009.
October 26, 2009	Pre-Election Report
	Due 10 days before the election Required from all registered committees actively participating in the current year elections. Covers from last report through October 19, 2009.
November 3, 2009	ELECTION DAY
	Final Report Filed when all funds are disbursed, loans repaid or forgiven and committee bank account closed.

Type 2-Partisan with Primary
Within 10 days	Organizational Report
August 11, 2009	Thirty-five day Report
	Required from all candidates and elected officials participating in the nonpartisan plurality election. Covers from last report through August 4, 2009.
September 8, 2009	Pre-Primary Report
	Due 10 days before the primary. Required from all candidates actively participating in the current year elections. Covers from August 5, 2009 through September 1, 2009.
September 15, 2009	PRIMARY
September 28, 2009	Second Primary Report
	Due 10 days before the second primary. Required from all candidates on the ballot for the second primary. Covers from September 2, 2009 through September 21, 2009.
October 6, 2009	SECOND PRIMARY (if needed)
October 26, 2009	Pre-Election Report
	Due 10 days before the election. Required from all candidates actively participating in the current year elections. Covers from last report through October 19, 2009.
November 3, 2009	ELECTION DAY
	Final Report Filed when all funds are disbursed, loans repaid or forgiven and committee bank account closed.

Type 3-Nonpartisan with Primary
Within 10 days	Organizational Report
September 1, 2009	Thirty-five day Report
	Required from all candidates on the ballot for the Primary . Covers from last report through August 25, 2009.
September 29, 2009	Thirty-five day Report
	Required from all candidates not in the primary but actively participating in the current year elections. Covers from last report through September 22, 2009.
September 28, 2009	Pre-Primary Report
	Due 10 days before the primary. Required from all candidates on the ballot for the primary. Covers from last report through September 21, 2009.
October 6, 2009	PRIMARY
October 26, 2009	Pre-Election Report
	Due 10 days before the election. Required from all candidates actively participating in the current year elections. Covers from last report through October 19, 2009.
November 3, 2009	ELECTION DAY
	Final Report Filed when all funds are disbursed, loans repaid or forgiven and committee bank account closed.

Type 4-Nonpartisan with Runoff
Within 10 days	Organizational Report
September 1, 2009	Thirty-five day Report
	Required from all candidates actively participating in the current year elections. Covers from last report through August 25, 2009.
September 28, 2009	Pre-Election Report
	Due 10 days before the election. Required from all candidates actively participating in the current year elections. Covers from August 26, 2009 through September 21, 2009.
October 6, 2009	ELECTION DAY
October 26, 2009	Pre-Runoff Report
	Due 10 days before the runoff. Required from all candidates on the ballot in the runoff. Covers from September 22, 2009 through October 19, 2009.
November 3, 2009	RUNOFF (if needed)
	Final Report Filed when all funds are disbursed, loans repaid or forgiven and committee bank account closed.

All reports should be filed with the candidate's local board of elections office.
